True – part of the journey is the end. But how can you understand the end without knowing the beginning?

Why did Adam & Eve have so much more fun and freedom in the Garden of Eden than you feel you have now? Are you looking to find your way back there, or have you stopped asking “why?”

And while we’re questioning things, did the world fall apart? Did angels or men fall from grace? Or did God’s creation fall into grace?

What motivates the universe, anyway?

Genesis, Part 1, answers this question of “what” with a “Who,” and then invites its audience, especially those with existential angst, to relentlessly pursue the “why.”

Discover the secrets of the story at a proven multimedia storytelling event. We’ll lay it out for you clearly in music, monologues, and media:

the beginning of everything

Blue Gospel Scripts takes a proven, layered multimedia approach for making a message memorable and applies that to the world’s overwhelming Biblical illiteracy.

  • A multimedia stage performance, about 75 minutes long
  • Excellence from musicians and speakers
  • “Blue Gospel” songs which enhance the story and sometimes alter perspective
  • A short video to show current relevance
  • Humor (mostly dry, but sometimes downright silly)
  • To leave with a fresher understanding of God’s power throughout history and the timeless implications of the Good News.

2018: June 6, Sep 5, Dec 8
2019: TBD

Blue Gospel Scripts is best suited for middle school through early retirement.

  • You’ve read the Bible a million times but want new perspective
  • You like live music by professional musicians
  • You have questions about what the Bible actually says
  • You enjoy shows at the Buell or the Ellie
  • You feel like something is missing
  • You’re part of a Bible study but want to grow as a community and explore a new way to learn
  • You know someone who doesn’t know who David, Tamar, Isaiah, Luke, or Paul were – or YOU don’t know and want to find out
  • You believe “God helps those who help themselves” is a Bible verse (spoiler alert… it’s not).

Blue Gospel Scripts shows are free – because we think no one should ever have to pay to hear the Good News – but donations toward future performances are definitely (gratefully) accepted… and tax-deductible!
